AI tools don’t know your business personally. They build a picture from what they can read online. The clearer and more consistent that information is, the more likely they are to describe you accurately and recommend you. Here is what helps.
1. Say clearly what you do, for whom and where
Your website should state plainly what you offer, who it is for and where you work. Avoid vague slogans. “We install and repair air conditioning for homes across Perth’s northern suburbs” is far more useful to AI than “Your comfort, our passion”.
2. Give each service its own page
A separate page for each main service, with a clear heading and a full description, makes it easy for AI to match you to specific questions.
3. Answer the questions customers actually ask
AI tools love clear question-and-answer content. Add an FAQ that covers prices, timeframes, service areas, process and what makes you different.
4. Keep your details consistent everywhere
Your business name, address, phone number and opening hours should match on your website, Google Business Profile, directories and social media. Conflicting details confuse AI.
5. Add structured data
Structured data (schema) is a small piece of code that tells machines exactly what your business is, where it is and what it offers. It removes the guesswork.
6. Build trust signals
Genuine reviews, an about page with real people, your ABN and clear contact details all help AI tools trust that you are a real, established business.
7. Let AI tools read your site
Check that your website does not block the crawlers that AI tools use, and that pages load properly without needing a login.
8. Keep it up to date
Old prices, discontinued services and past addresses lead to wrong answers. Review your key pages regularly.
